Regulation of decapods: letter from the Home Office

The Home Office has written to the Chair of the Animals in Science Committee to provide an update on the regulation of decapods.

The Home Office wrote to Dr Sally Robinson, Chair of the Animals in Science Committee, on 6 March 2026 to provide an update on the government’s proposed approach to the regulation of decapods used in scientific procedures, agreed by the Minister.

Dr Sally Robinson has acknowledged receipt of this letter.
