Master craftsmanship

Every Googlebook is made from premium materials like aluminum, magnesium alloy, and carbon fiber, making them exceptionally light, sleek, and durable. They feature touchscreens with up to 2.8K resolution that are bright enough to view outdoors in direct sunlight without a glare.

• Custom keyboards: backlit layouts designed for fast, clean typing
• Haptic trackpads: large, glass-feel surfaces with precise haptic feedback and native OS gesture support
• Cinematic audio: up to six speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound, paired with studio-quality, background noise-canceling microphones

Interactive Glowbar design

We’re bringing back the Glowbar, which dances when you boot up, sweeps to show battery level, and supports other playful patterns. We’re also opening Glowbar access to developers to build custom, interactive animations.

Silent, next-gen power

We teamed up with Intel, Qualcomm, and MediaTek to ensure Googlebook keeps up with developers and creators alike.

At launch, you can choose between Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and Snapdragon X Elite processors, which are paired with advanced NPUs running at over 45 TOPS of on-device AI power. This lets you run complex AI workflows without spinning loud and disruptive fans.

• Memory: a baseline of 16GB of high-speed RAM across the entire portfolio, and some models go up to 32GB
• Battery: up to 14 hours of video playback and 16 hours of web browsing

Pricing, availability, and pre-order details

Starting at $899, every Googlebook includes 12 months of Google AI Pro providing 5TB of cloud storage and our Gemini Advanced tools, plus 3 months of YouTube Premium, Adobe Photoshop, and more. Googlebook OS also comes with regular feature drops and updates for up to 10 years.

Pre-orders are now open on the Google Store, Best Buy, and other select retailers. Devices hit shelves on October 4 in the U.S., and on October 5 in Canada, the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia.
