Ducati introduces a new high-performance bicycle line-up

Misano Adriatico (Rimini), 3 September 2026 – At the International Bike Festival, Ducati unveils its new 2027 Cycling Model Year range, comprising road, gravel and E-MTB models. This collection marks a new chapter for the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer in the world of high-performance bicycles, designed to offer an engaging and authentic riding experience.

The range has been created to offer enthusiasts a level of quality and excitement comparable to that of Ducati motorbikes and is produced using the industrial and technological expertise of Diamant, already a partner of the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer in the production of carbon fibre components. Diamant is part of the Zecchetto Group, a leading player in the cycling industry with the brands DMT and Alè Cycling.

The project benefited from the vital contribution of leading athletes and professionals from the international cycling scene. Elia Viviani, Vincenzo Nibali, Alessandro Petacchi and Mattia Viel took part in the testing and validation of the road and gravel models, whilst Lorenzo Suding provided his support in the development of the E-MTB range as a tester.

Viviani, Nibali, Petacchi, Viel and Suding unveiled the three bikes at a media event on the Riviera terrace of the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit, as part of the International Bike Festival. The event was also attended by Claudio Domenicali and Philippe Zecchetto, CEOs of Ducati and the Zecchetto Group respectively. They were joined by nine-time motocross world champion Antonio Cairoli, a rider and test rider for the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer, who trains regularly on Ducati e-bikes.

The Ducati 2027 range comprises the Monoscocca, a racing bike; the GraviaX sports gravel bike; and the two versions of the e-Enduro platform, the DM-160 R and DM-170 RR. The Monoscocca and GraviaX are available as complete bikes – with two different builds for the Monoscocca – and are also available as framesets for those wishing to customise individual components. All bikes are available in a range of colour schemes.

Ducati Monoscocca: the high performance road model

The Ducati Monoscocca is a Made in Italy road bike that is fast, precise and responsive, yet at the same time versatile and suitable for any riding situation.

The carbon-fibre monocoque frame, manufactured entirely by Gruppo Zecchetto using single-mould lamination, has been designed to optimise the weight-to-stiffness ratio, ensuring immediate power transfer, precision and responsiveness during acceleration.

Particular attention has been paid to aerodynamics. The frame's shape is the result of in-depth fluid dynamics analysis aimed at optimising airflow and reducing turbulence in real-world use. The truncated-tail profiles and the high level of component integration help to improve aerodynamic efficiency whilst maintaining high levels of stiffness, stability and control.

The 'all-round' race geometry embodies the Monoscocca's design philosophy. The stack-to-reach ratio of 1.42 in size M creates a sporty, performance-oriented riding position that remains comfortable even over long distances. The front-end, with a head angle of 72.3° and a trail of 59 mm, ensures stability at high speeds and precision when entering corners, whilst the wheel clearance of up to 32 mm enhances comfort and versatility. The result is a modern racing bike capable of delivering high performance without the extremes typical of models developed exclusively for competition.

The range is available in five sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL) in the Monoscocca R and Monoscocca RR versions, as well as a frameset for those wishing to build a bespoke configuration. The Monoscocca R is fitted with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 drivetrain, Vision SC 45 wheels and a Vision Metron 5D SMR cockpit. The RR version, on the other hand, features a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, Vision Metron 45 RS wheels and a Vision Metron ACR 5D EVO handlebar, achieving a claimed weight of 7.18 kg in size M without pedals.

The online configurator allows you to customise the frame or the complete bike using a range of colour and finish combinations, enabling every cyclist to create their own Monoscocca – a unique bike perfectly tailored to their preferences.

Ducati GraviaX: racing spirit, adventure-ready

Alongside the Monoscocca, the MY2027 range introduces the Ducati GraviaX, a high-performance, Made in Italy gravel bike designed to combine speed, stability and versatility. A model conceived for those seeking the character and efficiency of a sports bike without sacrificing the freedom to explore.

Built around a carbon monocoque frame entirely manufactured by Gruppo Zecchetto, the GraviaX reinterprets the gravel segment through a race-oriented yet non-extreme philosophy, prioritising a balance between performance, comfort and control over long distances. The result is a bike capable of performing effectively on both tarmac and the most challenging gravel trails.

The stack/reach ratio of 1.46 in size M ensures an efficient riding position without being overly aggressive, whilst the balanced rider position enhances control and safety on all terrains. The forward-set seat tube axis allows for generous tyre clearance, whilst maintaining a compact 427 mm rear triangle.

Particular attention has been paid to handling stability. The front end, with a steering angle of 71° and a trail of 64 mm, ensures precision and safety at high speeds and on rough terrain, whilst the fork – with a dedicated rake for the two larger sizes – maintains dynamic, consistent and balanced handling across all sizes.

Versatility is one of the GraviaX's defining features. The frame accommodates tyres up to 50 mm in width (45 mm in double-chainring configurations), allowing the bike to be adapted to different riding conditions. An optional seatpost with an 18 mm rearward offset is also available for those who prefer a more relaxed riding position on long rides.

Designed to cater also for bikepacking and multi-day adventures, the GraviaX features an integrated tool holder in the down tube and dedicated mounting points for bags and accessories. The frame is also compatible with the main groupsets on the market, including non-electromechanical ones, offering maximum freedom of configuration.

The model is available as a frameset and in the GraviaX R complete version, both of which come in five sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL). The GraviaX R is fitted with a SRAM Force XPLR AXS groupset, Ducati G-Line carbon fibre wheels with a 42 mm rim profile and a 25 mm internal channel, a Ducati G-Line carbon handlebar with integrated cable routing and a 6° flare, Continental Terra 700x45 tyres and a Novus Boost Evo saddle. The bike's stated weight is 8.2 kg in size M, excluding pedals.

Ducati DM-160 R and DM-170 RR: the new e-Enduro

The Ducati DM-160 R and DM-170 RR range is designed to deliver outstanding performance on the most challenging trails, combining climbing efficiency with stability on descents.

At the heart of the design is a new carbon fibre frame that maximises efficiency and control. The suspension kinematics have been designed to ensure balanced handling on the most technical terrain, whilst the clean, minimalist design contributes to a modern, efficient and high-performance bike.

At the heart of the range is the new Avinox M2S motor, which delivers a maximum power output of 1,300 W and torque of 130 Nm, rising to 150 Nm in Boost mode. High-precision sensors, self-adaptive assistance modes, integrated GPS, an eSIM and an 800 Wh battery round off a model designed to deliver benchmark performance and a highly connected riding experience.

One of the project's distinctive features is the ability to customise the bike's dynamic behaviour. All models allow riders to adjust – via three dedicated flip chips – the suspension progression, frame geometry and wheel size, enabling them to adapt the bike to their own preferences and the characteristics of the terrain.

From this technical foundation emerge two complementary interpretations of the e-enduro, sharing the same technical base but characterised by distinct personalities. The DM-160 R, configured according to the Performance Trail concept, prioritises stability at high speeds, traction on climbs and the ability to negotiate obstacles with maximum efficiency. It features a full 29" wheel set and is fitted with a 160 mm RockShox Zeb Select fork with 38 mm stanchions, a 205x60 mm RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ rear shock, an SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type drivetrain and Maven Base brakes.

The DM-170 RR, developed according to the Enduro Gravity concept, offers suspension with greater shock absorption, a more agile and intuitive ride, and an even more confident feel on jumps and the steepest sections. It features a mullet wheel configuration, with a 29' front wheel and a 27.5' rear wheel, and is fitted with a 170 mm Öhlins RXF38 M.3 Air fork with 38 mm stanchions, a 205x65 mm Öhlins TTX Air rear shock, an SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain, Maven Bronze brakes and an FSA Gradient Carbon handlebar.

Both models are fitted with FSA NS i30 Gradient wheels and a Prologo Proxim Custom saddle. The range is available in three sizes (S1, S2 and S3), with a stated weight of 22.8 kg for the DM-170 RR and 23.4 kg for the DM-160 R, both in size S2 without pedals.

Two distinct personalities, born from the same platform, allowing every rider to choose their own way of experiencing enduro.
