From Disinformation to Resilience: Crisis Communication and Conflict Resolution

Tisková zpráva informuje o 6. ročníku mezinárodní konference From Disinformation to Resilience: Crisis Communication and Conflict Resolution, která se uskuteční 22.–23. října 2026 v hybridní podobě (prezenčně i online) a je zdarma. Cílem akce je posílit odolnost společností prostřednictvím efektivní krizové komunikace a řešení konfliktů, a nabídnout platformu pro prezentaci výsledků výzkumu napříč tématy jako krizová komunikace, dezinformace, mediální gramotnost, kybernetická bezpečnost, environmentální komunikace či občanská angažovanost. Příspěvky budou zveřejněny v postkonferenčním e-booku a akcí budou provázet vybrané časopisy Synergies Roumanie a Studia Europaea UBB; konference bude probíhat v angličtině, francouzštině a italštině a proběhne na Fakultě evropských studií UBB v Kluži.
The Faculty of European Studies – Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, The Centre for African Studies – BBU, The uOttawa-IBM Cyber Range, Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, The Centre for Europe at the University of Warsaw, the Border and Regional Studies Network CEEPUS and EuroniumBrussels, have the pleasure of announcing the organization of the 6th edition of the international conference From Disinformation to Resilience: Crisis Communication and Conflict Resolution, which will be held on October 22nd-23rd, 2026.
In a context of growing disinformation, polarization, and complex crises, strengthening resilience through effective crisis communication and conflict resolution has become more important than ever. In order to address these challenges, this international conference aims to support academics, researchers, PhD and postgraduate students, by offering them an opportunity to present their latest research results in the fields of:
• Crisis and Risk Communication
• Conflict Transformation and Resolution
• Political Communication
• Institutional and Corporate Communication
• Journalism and Media Literacy
• Disinformation, Misinformation, and Fake News
• Information Warfare and Hybrid Threats
• Civic Engagement, Democratic Resilience, and Social Cohesion
• Cybersecurity
• AI in Crisis Communication
• Environmental and Climate Change Communication
• Discourse Analysis
• Education and Learning
The 2026 edition will be held in a hybrid format, with both onsite and online participation, and is free of charge. Accepted papers will be published in a post-conference volume (e-book with ISBN). Supporting journals: Synergies Roumanie and Studia Europaea UBB.
