PRESS RELEASE: Vlastimil Turza will become a new member of the CTU Council
Vlastimil Turza specialises in consumer protection law. Until now, he served as Head of the Legal Department at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTIA). He has been actively involved in addressing legal issues related to market surveillance and consumer protection. During his career in public administration, he was twice entrusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the temporary management of the CTIA.
“Vlastimil Turza brings extensive experience in public administration, legal affairs, and the management of a nationwide authority to the CTU Council. His professional background will strengthen the Council’s expertise and support its focus, particularly in the area of protecting users of electronic communications and postal services,” said Marek Ebert, Chairman of the CTU Council.
The CTU Council is composed of five members, one of whom serves as the Chairman. The members and the Chairman of the Council are appointed and dismissed by the Government of the Czech Republic, based on a proposal submitted by the Minister of Industry and Trade. The term of office for each Council member is five years.
