The Government of the Czech Republic has appointed a new member of the CTU Council. Vlastimil Turza, a lawyer in the field of consumer protection, has been appointed. More on the front page of the Monitoring Report.

Summer is around the corner and with it comes an increased interest in using mobile services abroad. Roaming within the European Union remains convenient for most users this year, but there are a few pitfalls to watch out for. For example, do you know the difference between roaming and international calls, or when you can't benefit from the “roam like at home” principle? More on pages 2 and 3 of the Monitoring Report.

Conclusion of contracts outside business premises grants consumers an extended right of withdrawal of up to 30 days and obliges the seller to provide all information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
