October 2026 – Kinstellar team is acting as local counsel alongside Kim & Chang, lead counsel to Hyundai Mobis, in connection with its entry into a definitive agreement with OPmobility under which OPmobility is to acquire 100% of Hyundai Mobis’ lighting business for an enterprise value of approximately EUR 390 million.
The transaction spans manufacturing operations in South Korea, China, Mexico and the Czech Republic, highlighting the truly cross-border nature of the deal.
In the Czech Republic, Kinstellar is advising on the divestment of Mobis Automotive System Czech, including matters relating to structuring of the transaction, business separation, investment incentives and transaction documentation.
Our team is led by Karla Rundtová (Partner), supported by Matěj Bolek and Iva Bilinská (Managing Associates). The broader team also includes Petr Bratský, Martina Mazůrková, Matej Korduliak and Paul Válka.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2027, subject to customary regulatory and merger control approvals.
