Defence is to enter into a long-term partnership with the American firm L3Harris. Under the ‘Foxtrot’ programme, this company is responsible for the new military radios. 





The first units have already been delivered. Both parties signed the strategic partner agreement last week.





HNLMS Groningen new Royal Netherlands Navy's guard ship in the Caribbean
HNLMS Groningen recently took over the task of RNLN guard ship in the Caribbean from HNLMS Friesland. In the coming months, the Groningen will be deployed for various maritime security tasks at sea.



Minister Yeşilgöz in Singapore: “Regional tensions are no longer regional"
Last week, Netherlands Minister of Defence Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius attended the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, together with the Netherlands Chief of Defence, Onno Eichelsheim. The Shangri-La Dialogue is the largest defence and security conference in Asia. “Security in Europe and Asia is increasingly interconnected,” the minister said at the conference. “We live in a world where crises are no longer confined to a single region.”
