15 organizations transforming public service with AI

We’re announcing the organizations selected for the $30 million Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Government Innovation.

Today, we are announcing the 15 recipients of the $30 million Google.org Impact Challenge: AI for Government Innovation. Selected from a global pool of more than 2,600 proposals, these academic institutions, social enterprises, and nonprofits are supporting governments like state and national health ministries and municipal transit agencies to address complex challenges using AI.

Through a dedicated Google.org Accelerator, they will receive pro bono support and hands-on guidance from Google engineers and product experts to build human-centered AI tools. Designed as open-source blueprints, these projects can be adapted, improved, and shared to transform public services in communities from Illinois to Lagos to Nagoya.
