Zveme na dvě přednášky prof. Rudolfa Simeka (University of Bonn), které proběhnou ve středu 29. října 2025 a ve čtvrtek 30. října 2025.




První přednáška Demons at Work? Machinations of Demons in Scandinavian History of the Early Middle Ages se uskuteční 29. října 2025 v 17:30, CMS, Jilská 1.

Přednáška bude také streamována prostřednictvím MS Teams.



Druhá přednáška Trolls through history proběhne 30. října 2025 v 16:00, FHS UK, Pátkova 2137/5, místnost 2.21.



Anotace přednášky Trolls through history


Trolls play a prominent role in Old Norse literature: partly as an evil, dangerous and magical subgroup of giants, partly as helpful and sexually active trollwomen. But there is also an obsession with trolls in literature of the 20th and 21st centuries, not to mention the activity of similarly evil trolls on the internet.
