Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies announces the signing of an agreement to acquire 50% of the share capital of Primeo Energie France from Qair and the Primeo Energie Group

4.9.2026 - | Crédit Agricole

The proposed transaction involves, on the one hand, the disposal of Qair International's entire stake, representing 35% of Primeo Energie France's share capital, and, on the other hand, the disposal of 15% of the shares held by Primeo Energie Schweiz AG, a company within the Primeo Energie Group. Following the transaction, Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies and Primeo Energie Schweiz AG will each hold a 50% stake in Primeo Energie France, which specialises in supplying electricity to businesses and consumers, and in aggregating renewable energy from producers.

This transaction forms part of the Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies development strategy and is in line with the objectives of Crédit Agricole S.A.'s ACT 2028 Medium-Term Plan. Already active in the electricity supply market through its subsidiary Selfee, Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies will thus strengthen its position in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer electricity supply markets, while accelerating the development of its aggregation activities in support of renewable energy producers across the regions.

The complementary expertise of the two partners will enable the Crédit Agricole Group to offer its customers a broader range of services in support of the energy transition.

“This deal demonstrates our commitment to ramping up our growth in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer electricity supply markets, while strengthening our presence in renewable energy aggregation. We are delighted to be building this strategic partnership with Primeo Energie. By combining our expertise and knowledge of the energy sector, we are united in our ambition to drive both the growth of Primeo Energie France and the regional energy transition. I would also like to acknowledge the commitment of Qair, a long-standing partner of the Crédit Agricole Group, which has wholeheartedly supported the development of Primeo Energie France and is now helping to usher in a new phase of growth for the company”, remarked Jean-Paul Duhamel, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies.

“Primeo Energie welcomes this partnership between two groups with deep cooperative and mutualist roots, shared ambitions and complementary strengths. The deal will create a major player in the energy transition, combining the agility and expertise required in the evolving energy markets with the commercial and financial strength of the Crédit Agricole Group,” said Cédric Christmann, CEO of Primeo Energie.

“This transaction marks an important milestone for Primeo Energie France, and Qair is delighted to have actively contributed to its success alongside Benoît Doin. With the emergence of this new market leader, backed by two long-standing partners, Qair looks forwards to forging a long-term aggregation partnership for its renewable electricity generation and to capitalising on Primeo Energie France's new reach”, added Louis Blanchard, Chairman of Qair

This project has been the subject of consultation with Primeo Energie France's employee representative bodies, with a view to the transaction potentially taking place in Q4 2026, subject to approval by the European Commission.
